CHEYANNE MUMPHREY
Cheyanne Mumphrey is a multimedia journalist with The Associated Press’ west region bureau based in Phoenix, Arizona. Mumphrey tells that inform and develop readers into active members in their communities. She excels in storytelling using various digital platforms.
Her work has been published in The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She previously worked for Hawaii News Now and got her start at Northern Arizona University working for The Lumberjack newspaper, NAZToday, KJACK Radio and the athletics department. Mumphrey graduated from Northern Arizona University with a master’s degree in communication studies and a bachelor's degree in journalism. She was a Division I women's soccer student-athlete and a member of the 2014 Big Sky Conference championship team. She was promoted from communications intern to media relations graduate assistant to social media coordinator in the athletics department. |
