FLAGSTAFF, Ariz and MURRIETA, Calif. — This project explores aspects of social media on everyday life. The story follows a high school student-athlete addicted to her phone and a college student troubled by social anxiety. Using a newly-developed app called "Moment," these two girls were able to track their everyday use by the minute — the results surprised even them. The project is broken up in five segments:

I. Snapping at track - An athlete with an addiction
II. Facing the books - Social anxiety vs. social media
III. Linked in the brain - The addictive nature of technology
IV. Instantly addicted - Calculated use by hours
V. A pinned interest - Trapped in technology and its advancements
